CALL TODAY FOR A PRICE TO MOVE YOUR HOME OR OFFICE TRAILER
It can be a little tough to have a set price sheet for the relocation of mobile homes and office trailers. It is best to call and consult with one of experienced drivers to get an accurate price.
How much does it cost to move an office trailer or mobile home?
Generally, office trailers are less expensive to move. They tend to be lighter in weight and usually have a lot less items in them that can make a move difficult.
Manufactured homes or mobile homes, as they used to be called can really vary in price as far as relocating.
Here are some of the questions our drivers will usually ask you before an accurate price quote can be given.
*Does your mobile home or office trailer have axles? If so, are they all there? If it only has two, but calls for three, then one more axle will have to be added before transport. We can add that axle for you, as we have many in stock.
*Does the mobile home have the hitch intact? It is attached and bolted to the trailer properly? What kind of condition is it in? Is it bent or rusted out and weakened? If its missing or broke, we can make one for you right on the spot.
*Is the mobile home/office trailer empty or is it full of furniture? Most mobile homes and office trailers were only meant to be transported empty. Usually the axle rating is not rated high enough to transport full of extra items.
*Does it have wheels and tires? What kind of condition are they in? Just because they are only a few years old, doesn't necessarily mean they are ready for the road. They could be dry rotted out in a matter of even one year.
We have in stock hundreds of trailer wheels and tires, just in case they are missing or are in bad shape.
*Is the trailer in a difficult position right now? Is it going into a very difficult place? Slope, steep driveway, very tight road, twisty road, jeep trail, sand, mud or between two big trees with barely a gap? These are things we need to know before hand. These are hardly a problem if we know ahead of time. It really helps to have proper knowledge of the move before hand, so we know what equipment we will need to bring.
*Are there things on the roof or any loose fixtures such as a water heater that isnt strapped down? Sometimes bricks, swamp coolers, loose walls or windows or even storage cabinets are forgotten by previous owners and can be a real hazard when towing a trailer down the road. Please inform us, if you do need something removed before the transport.
*Is the home or office trailer currently on stands and does it have siding installed? It is more labor to remove siding and to reomove a home or office trailer off of the stands, which we call, "piers". Don't worry, we have all of the equipment to lower your home or office trailer offf of the piers and get it setting back on its wheels.
*Can my double wide or triple wide be moved in one piece? The answer is simply, NO. They are simply too wide and no road in the U.S. could accomodate something 24 ft. wide going down the road. So the home or office trailer would have to be separtated into piecs that the manufacturer built, which is usually 12 ft. wide sections. So a double wide means there are two separate trailers. A triple wide, means there are 3 separate pieces.
WE HAVE THE PROPER EQUIPMENT FOR MOVING HOMES AND OFFICE TRAILERS
Our trucks have 6 way hitches. What is a 6 way hitch anyways? Well in short, a 6 way hitch allows our operators to move the ball of the hitch in virtually any direction. The ball hitch can move left and right about 5 feet, it can move up and down about 5 feet also and it can move fore and aft of the truck about 2 feet. What this enables the driver to do is it really helps to get out of tight places, make very sharp turns and eases up the labor of hitching and unhitching. If your mover does not have a 6 way hitch, then your move may risk damage to your home of office trailer. The 6 way hitch is the industry standard and the best type for moving mobile homes and office trailers.
WE HAVE VERY EXPERIENCED CREWMEMBERS
What takes place during a move? Well, we start off by checking off what the trailer exactly needs to be transport. Trailers are gone over by our experienced staff upon pickup of the trailer. Hazards or things that may be missing are notified to the owner of the trailer. Once corrected, we can usually correct these concerns at the time of pickup. Permits are usually pulled the day or two before the move. Once transported to the new location, we will sit the trailer down from the truck.
